Technical Principle

Thermal developers are key components in thermal recording materials, reacting with colorless dye precursors (such as Crystal Violet Lactone) to form colored compounds under heat.

Thermal color development systems typically consist of three main components: colorless dye precursor, developer, and sensitizer. When heat is applied to thermal paper, these three components melt and react together, producing visible color changes.

Product Description

Our thermal developers feature the following characteristics:

• High Sensitivity: Rapid color development at relatively low temperatures

• Excellent Image Stability: Clear and long-lasting images after development

• Eco-friendly Formula: Free from harmful substances like BPA

• Multiple Grades: Various specifications suitable for different applications

Applications

Thermal Paper

Thermal Paper

Used in receipts, labels, fax paper, and other thermal printing media

Security Labels

Security Labels

Used in anti-counterfeiting labels and temperature monitoring labels

Medical Supplies

Medical Supplies

Used in medical records and sterilization indicators

Usage Instructions

Thermal Coating Formula Reference:

1. Colorless Dye Precursor: 3-5% 2. Thermal Developer: 15-25% 3. Sensitizer: 10-15% 4. Binder: 20-30% 5. Filler: 25-35% 6. Other Additives: 5-10%

Mix the above components in proportion and adjust to appropriate viscosity for coating thermal paper substrates. Coating weight typically controlled at 3-6 g/m².

Important Notes:

• Avoid high temperatures during preparation, recommend operating at room temperature • Dry at appropriate temperature after coating to avoid premature color development • Store finished products in cool, dry places away from direct sunlight and high temperatures

Important Notes

1. Thermal developers are sensitive to humidity and should be stored in dry environments 2. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures may cause premature color development or deterioration 3. Certain chemicals (such as plasticizers, organic solvents) may react with thermal materials and affect their performance
